Model numbers for this Samsung TV are mystifying. Currys and Dixons make use of UE46B7000. It's very perplexing. The Dixons Store Group 46B7000 has a distinctive red line surrounding its trim. Online sellers like Amazon market the 46B7020. This has no red trim. On other places its every now and then called the 46B7020W or 46B7000WW. All these models are in essence the matching TV.

Initial Views: By far the most remarkable attribute of the UE46B7000 is the depth of it. Less than 1.5 inches, in actuality.Unlike some other manufacturers, Samsung has found space for the lot within the package - no need for a separate box. And the set looks first-class as well, with a sheer black border and a see-through stem linking the support and the television itself.

Audio Quality: As a rule contemporary Televisions have poor quality audio outputs and the UE46B7000 is no exception. There is so little depth to include decent speakers. So, if you're planning on investing a lot of funds in a TV like the UE46B7000 you really ought to think about connecting it to separate speakers.

Screen Performance: The difference with the UE46B7000 is that, instead of fluorescent tubes to supply backlighting, it uses LEDs. Although the backlighting technology is unusual, the UE46B7000 remains a LCD TV. LED backlighting is supposed to have the following benefits:

There are in reality two remotes. The principle one curves over at one end (intended to put on an armchair arm?). A bit odd to hold to begin with, but you get used to it. The second, smaller remote merely allows volume power and channel changes.

Expense in use: The UE46B7000 uses around 115W in service - well below the ordinary requirement. Less than a watt on stand by.

Summing up: Although the sound performance of the UE46B7000 is not up to scratch, it outperforms its competitors, with brilliant colours and black blacks. The best picture quality in its class.
